Active Office offers a comprehensive range of staplers both metal and plastic, half strip and full strip. We stock Rexel, Rapesco, Rapid, Novus, Helix and Leitz. We can supply staplers that can staple between 10 and 240 sheets at a time and are available in different throat lengths such as 10mm, 25mm, up to 105mm. Many staplers have features such as jam-free mechanism, rubber base, built-in staple remover and top staple loading.

Helpful Information

Desktop Staplers are suitable for frequent users, a robust metal stapler will probably suit your purpose.
If you staple large amounts of Jiffy bags and packages then a plier is probably best option. Designed for comfort and a much firmer fixing.
Long arm staplers are an option which have a longer reach and extra depth which allows you to staple booklets and other large documents, key requirement for schools and colleges.
Heavy-duty stapler is perfect for stapling 30 sheets or over. It has the ability to take a number of different size staples depending on the number of pages you wish to staple.

Advice

Most stapler faults are caused by using incorrect staples with your stapler. Always use the staple recommended by the manufacturer of the stapler.
The staple number indicated on the packaging, does cause some confession: the first digits 24, 26, 23 etc normally indicate the gauge of the wire,
the smaller the number, the heavier the gauge; the second number indicates the depth of the shank in millimetres – hence 26/6 = 26 gauge wire, 6mm shank length.
Remember it is important to use the correct shank length – if it is too short the staples will not bind your document together – if too long the staple will have too much ‘fold over’.
